Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 November 2026
OVERVIEW
Welcome to VINTARA. Throughout this website, the terms "we", "us", "our" and "Vintara" refer to Vintara and the business operating this online store.
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Vintara website, online store, products and related services. By visiting our website, browsing our products or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and the policies referenced within them.
Our website is hosted by Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to offer our products and services to customers.
Please read these Terms carefully before using our website or making a purchase. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should discontinue using our website.
These Terms apply to all visitors and customers, including individuals who browse our website, purchase products, submit reviews or otherwise interact with our services.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms from time to time. Any changes will become effective when published on this page. Your continued use of our website following the publication of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Changes will not retrospectively reduce rights attached to purchases already made.
SECTION 1 – ELIGIBILITY AND USE OF OUR ONLINE STORE
By using our website, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your country, state or province of residence, or that you have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian where required.
You agree to use our website and services for lawful purposes only.
You must not use our website to:
- Engage in fraudulent, misleading or unlawful activities.
- Violate any applicable local, national or international laws.
- Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of Vintara or any third party.
- Upload or transmit malicious software, viruses or harmful code.
- Interfere with the security, functionality or operation of our website.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or customer information.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to our website where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.
SECTION 2 – PRODUCTS AND PRODUCT INFORMATION
Vintara specialises in vintage-inspired digital photography products, including our Vintara Retro Screen-free Camera.
Our products are designed to bring a nostalgic approach to everyday photography through compact designs, built-in flash functionality and creative photo filters.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, images, specifications and pricing displayed on our website are accurate and up to date.
Product colours and appearances may vary slightly depending on your screen, monitor settings, lighting conditions and display technology.
Product specifications, available colours, accessories and included components are as described on the relevant product page at the time of purchase.
We reserve the right to:
- Modify product descriptions, specifications and pricing.
- Update product imagery and website content.
- Limit the quantity of products available for purchase.
- Discontinue products or product variants.
- Restrict sales to certain geographic locations where necessary.
Nothing in this section limits your rights where a product does not match its description or fails to meet applicable consumer protection requirements.
SECTION 3 – PRICING AND PAYMENT
All product prices are displayed in the currency indicated on our website or at checkout.
Prices, promotions and discounts may change without prior notice. However, changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted, except where a genuine pricing or technical error requires correction.
Applicable shipping charges, taxes and other costs will be displayed during checkout, as required by applicable law.
Where relevant, prices displayed to customers in the European Economic Area will include applicable taxes and delivery charges as required by local regulations.
Payments are processed securely through the payment methods made available at checkout.
By placing an order, you confirm that:
- The payment information provided is accurate and complete.
- You are authorised to use the selected payment method.
- You authorise the applicable payment provider to process the transaction.
- You agree to pay the total amount displayed at checkout.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where payment cannot be authorised, fraudulent activity is reasonably suspected or a genuine technical or pricing error has occurred. Where payment has already been collected, any applicable refund will be issued.
SECTION 4 – ORDERS AND ORDER ACCEPTANCE
When you place an order through our website, you will receive an order confirmation acknowledging that your purchase request has been received.
An order confirmation does not necessarily mean that the order has been dispatched.
We reserve the right to review orders and, where legally permitted, refuse or cancel transactions involving suspected fraud, payment issues, product availability problems or genuine pricing errors.
If an order is cancelled after payment has been collected, the appropriate refund will be issued to the original payment method.
You are responsible for ensuring that your name, email address, delivery address and other order information are accurate at checkout.
Vintara cannot guarantee successful delivery where an incorrect or incomplete address has been provided. However, this does not remove any rights you may have where delivery has not occurred as required by applicable law.
If you need to make changes to an order, contact us as soon as possible at support@vintara.com.
Once an order has entered fulfilment or has been dispatched, changes or cancellations may no longer be possible through our standard order process. This does not affect any statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights you may have.
SECTION 5 – SHIPPING, FULFILMENT AND DELIVERY
Vintara works with third-party suppliers and fulfilment partners to process and dispatch customer orders.
This means that products may be stored, packaged and shipped directly from third-party fulfilment facilities rather than from a Vintara-operated warehouse.
Depending on product availability and your delivery destination, orders may be dispatched from fulfilment facilities located in different countries.
The use of third-party fulfilment partners does not change the fact that your purchase is made from Vintara. We remain your point of contact for order enquiries, delivery issues, returns and applicable consumer rights.
Estimated delivery timeframes vary depending on the destination, fulfilment location, shipping method, customs processing and local postal services.
For orders delivered within the United States, our current estimated delivery timeframe is approximately 5–10 days.
For other destinations, applicable estimated delivery times and shipping charges will be displayed in our Shipping Policy and at checkout before the order is completed.
All delivery timeframes are estimates unless a specific delivery date has been expressly guaranteed.
We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, customs inspections, carrier disruptions and other unforeseen events. However, this does not exclude any remedies or obligations imposed by applicable consumer protection laws.
If we become aware of a significant delay or change to your order, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and provide relevant updates.
International Shipping and Customs
Orders shipped internationally may be subject to customs procedures, import duties, taxes or other charges imposed by the destination country.
Where applicable, these charges and their treatment will be disclosed before checkout in accordance with the laws of the destination country.
Whether such charges are collected at checkout or payable to the relevant customs authority will depend on the shipping arrangement and destination.
We will not knowingly impose additional undisclosed charges after an order has been placed, except for charges lawfully imposed by the relevant authorities and disclosed as required by applicable law.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery and customs information where required.
SECTION 6 – RETURNS AND REFUNDS
At Vintara, we want our customers to feel confident when purchasing from us.
We offer a 30-day hassle-free return policy for eligible change-of-mind returns.
Customers may request a return within 30 days of receiving their order, subject to our Refund and Returns Policy and applicable consumer protection laws.
To submit a return or refund request, customers must contact:
Please include your order number and a brief explanation of your request.
Our support team will provide the relevant return instructions and return address.
Customers should not send products to a supplier or fulfilment warehouse without first receiving return instructions from Vintara.
For change-of-mind returns, products must be returned in their original condition, including any supplied accessories and components. Customers may handle a product as reasonably necessary to inspect it. Any deduction for diminished value will only be applied where permitted by applicable law.
Unless otherwise stated in our Refund and Returns Policy or required by law, customers are responsible for the cost of change-of-mind return shipping.
Where a product is faulty, damaged, defective or incorrectly supplied, Vintara will arrange an appropriate remedy in accordance with the applicable consumer protection laws. We will cover reasonable return costs where required.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will generally be processed within 5–10 business days.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
Please note that your bank, credit card provider or payment service may require additional time to make the refunded amount available in your account.
Where applicable consumer protection laws require a shorter refund timeframe, those statutory requirements will take precedence over our standard processing timeframe.
Further information about eligibility, return procedures and refunds can be found in our Refund and Returns Policy.
SECTION 7 – STATUTORY CONSUMER RIGHTS
Nothing in these Terms of Service is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that consumers are entitled to under applicable consumer protection legislation.
Different consumer protection laws may apply depending on your country or region.
United States
Customers in the United States are protected by applicable federal and state consumer protection laws.
Vintara will honour applicable requirements concerning product descriptions, advertising, payment processing, delivery commitments, refunds and defective products.
Our voluntary 30-day return policy applies in addition to any rights provided by applicable federal or state legislation.
Where an order cannot be shipped within the promised timeframe, applicable requirements concerning delay notifications, cancellation options and refunds will be followed.
United Kingdom
Customers in the United Kingdom are entitled to statutory protections under applicable consumer legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
For eligible online purchases, customers generally have the right to cancel an order within 14 days after receiving the goods without providing a reason.
Following notification of cancellation, customers generally have another 14 days to return the goods.
Where the statutory cancellation right applies, refunds will include the cost of standard delivery. Refunds will be issued within the applicable statutory timeframe, subject to the permitted conditions concerning receipt of returned goods or evidence of return.
Customers are also entitled to statutory remedies where products are faulty, not as described or fail to meet the required standards of quality and fitness for purpose.
Our 30-day return policy does not replace or restrict these statutory rights.
European Union and European Economic Area
Customers within the European Union and European Economic Area are protected by applicable European and national consumer protection legislation.
For eligible online purchases, consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date they receive the goods, without needing to provide a reason.
Customers generally have a further 14 days following notification of withdrawal to return the goods.
Consumers are also entitled to applicable statutory remedies for goods that are faulty, defective or do not conform to their description.
Under EU consumer protection rules, goods generally benefit from a minimum two-year legal guarantee against lack of conformity. Individual member states may provide additional protections.
Our voluntary 30-day return policy operates in addition to these statutory rights.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protection rights under the laws of the customer's country.
Australia
Customers in Australia are protected by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), contained in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian law.
The following mandatory consumer guarantee wording applies:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in our policies or these Terms removes or restricts these rights.
Our 30-day change-of-mind return policy is offered in addition to your statutory consumer guarantees.
New Zealand
Customers in New Zealand are protected by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and other applicable consumer protection legislation.
Products supplied to New Zealand consumers must meet applicable statutory guarantees, including acceptable quality, fitness for purpose, reasonable durability and conformity with their description.
Where these guarantees are not met, customers may be entitled to an appropriate remedy, including repair, replacement or refund, depending on the nature of the problem.
Our 30-day change-of-mind return policy is offered voluntarily and is separate from your statutory rights under New Zealand law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts rights that cannot legally be excluded.
